Balance is the name of the game.
Here’s your timeless reading! This week, balance is the name of the game.
This week you’re being called to find your balance as you precariously try to bridge or balance between two different worlds. For some of you, these may be your outer world, or the material world where your daily life and all of your responsibilities exist, and your inner world, where some of you may be deeply discovering your emotions and experiencing tumultuous change. For others, these may be your social world or family life, where you’ve adopted a certain persona and are being held to certain expectations, and your private, inner life where you are able to exist just as you are. Whatever these worlds represent for you, you’re finding it difficult to find your footing and are starting to be spread out too thin. The key to balancing is not about what you do, it’s about what’s within you.
You may be tempted to dive deep into one realm and neglect the other. Alternatively, some of you may decide that the only option is to run back and forth between these worlds, thinking that if you are able to be balanced in both worlds separately, your life will become balanced in general. It’s also true that your outer world is a reflection of your inner world and so some of you may be tempted to dive deep into inner work; actively fixing, healing or working on yourself with the hopes that any changes or transformations within this space will expand into your outer life all on its own. While this is ordinarily true, what I’m seeing is that, in this case, you’ll be too focused on doing and on actively changing, fixing or healing that you’ll miss out on something else completely. Is it a lesson or skill you’ve wanted to learn? Is it a pattern that is being brought to your awareness? Is it an energy hanging around that has nothing to do with your healing but also deserves some attention? Whatever it is for you, I can see that putting all of your focus and energy into actively transforming your inner world is unnecessary right now and will take you away from finding that balance. You may end up neglecting something, or you may even end up neglecting the real work.
What’s coming through is that in order to find balance between these two worlds, you’ll have to find a source of inner balance within you. No, I don’t mean in a way where you have to meditate for hours on end and connect to your “inner Zen master.” There’s actually a message for some of you that when you do that, perhaps because of your intentions behind it, you’re “sugar-coating” the experience and you’re not fully connecting to it or fully experiencing it. This might be an odd ask, but what I’m really seeing is that you’re being asked to find an “essential truth” that has always been a part of you and hold on to it as anchor, not so heavy that you’re pinned down to a certain space or a certain version of yourself, but heavy enough that it’ll help you bob around in familiar territory when the waves start to take you adrift. It will help you find your way home to your heart and your inner essence when you’re feeling lost, overwhelmed, feeling scattered or losing touch with yourself.
You don’t need an entire identity; that will really weigh you down and restrict you! You just need something you love that’s true about you, or something about yourself that you really value or regard as being important. For example, if determination is one of your strongest and most celebrated qualities, keep remembering this as something that’s always been true about you. Carry it with you as if it was the only part of your identity that matters and let it anchor you back to yourself. Keep returning back to it in times when you feel lost or overwhelmed, or in times when you feel like you don’t know yourself. It may sound simple and may seem like it has nothing to do with finetuning this balancing act that you’ve been trying to achieve, but what I’m seeing is that it essentially provides you with a tool to always be able to reconnect with yourself and your inner essence. It’s a space of continuous celebration for you and your one “essential truth”, and so it also becomes a space where you can always tap into your inner balance.
From there, you’ll realize that you don’t need to find your footing within the two conflicting worlds at all. Rather, when you are connected to your inner balance, you’ll be able to really explore and be fully immersed within the different worlds and remain balanced as you float through the entire experience. Life no longer becomes something that happens to you or something that you go through, but something that you really, fully experience. You’ll also realize that you (and your truest inner essence) have always been the bridge between these two worlds all along.
