A true balancing act.
Here’s your timeless reading! This week, you’re balancing action and restraint, and learning to let go.
There’s an interesting energy surrounding your reading this week. Some big messages are coming through, but you’re being called to tap into them with care and moderation. You seem to be prone to extremes, either rooted in place because of fear (whether you realize it or not) or jumping headfirst into action without giving yourself time to think about it, so balance is still a priority for you this week. A continuation of last week, you’re being called to keep tapping into your inner balance, but to also focus on making balanced decisions.
The struggle feels a little bit like trying to do weighted squats on a wobbly rope. Some parts of you are pushing, some parts of you are resisting, and all the while you need to focus on maintaining the correct posture, adequate balance and enough grip to ensure you don’t slip.
The same goes for your decisions this week. Practice gentle force on some parts, careful restraint on others and make sure you stay balanced. If it feels like it’s “all or nothing”, err on the side of caution and put your foot on the gas gently. If you feel like you have to do a silly dance between stepping on the gas and on the breaks, so be it. For some of you, it feels like you’ve been trying to restrain yourself from practising too much self-restraint. There’s a tug of war inside of you. Any forward movement you take from this place will be too hot, too fast, too quick and feel a little bit impulsive, even if you’ve been sitting on this decision for months.
If you’ve been feeling stuck or stagnant, waiting for the wheels of change to turn by itself, it’s fear that’s been keeping you in place. There’s a big message about letting go. It’s not as simple as deciding not to be in fear anymore or deciding that it shall no longer take a hold of you, though that’s a great start. There’s something particularly difficult about this specific fear that you’ve been holding on to, or that seems to have taken a hold of you. What may work better for you is if you treat it for what it really is: a grumpy old friend. Someone that’s sheltered you and thinks it has your best interests at heart (It really means well!); someone who’s grumpy, pessimistic and overly cautious; someone you can no longer stand but have a lot of love and sympathy for. Someone who’s still lingering around you, not because they feel like they need to take care of you, but because they need to be taken care of.
Do you have a cousin or a family member like that? Good. Look at your fear in the same way. Treat it like a grumpy old best friend that’s just there. You’ve grown apart but the love is still there. Look at it hobbling grumpily next to you and follow what calls you anyway. Do it all anyway from a place of quiet confidence, empathy and compassion. This is where tapping into your inner balance comes into play.
The last message that’s come through for you this week is to engage in a form of meditation. Perhaps not meditation per se, not in the structured way that you may think. If you think “I don’t know how to meditate”, “I struggle to meditate” or “I don’t have time to meditate”, you’ve misunderstood what meditation really is. Life is one gigantic meditation, because there’s nothing in life that isn’t about your relationship with yourself. What’s important is to peer into yourself and reconnect with yourself, to that place inside of you that holds your inner fountain of desires and dreams. Do you really know what calls you? Do you still remember the things that make your heart quiver with joy or bring you a feeling of peace? Don’t let your fears or learned ideas, or those of others, cloud your vision. Your vision’s been murky, but your dreams don’t have to be.
